inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) Speaker Puan Maharani invited the delegation of the 19th Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) to strengthen harmony between countries.

When attending the 19th PUIC delegation dinner on Sunday night at the National Museum, Central Jakarta, Puan touched on the importance of fighting for peace and harmony between nations.

Puan also invited the delegates to use the conference of parliaments of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries in DPR as a means of mutual learning and strengthening friendship between countries.

Moreover, the event in Indonesia coincided with the 25th anniversary (silver jubilee) of PUIC since its establishment in 1999.

"Let us work together for peace, prosperity and progress for all humanity. Together, we can build a brighter future for our country and the world," she said, quoted by Antaranews on Monday (5/12/2025).

"Indonesia, the country with the largest Muslim population in the world, is proud to host the 19th Session of the PUIC Conference which brings together distinguished representatives from Muslim countries," he said.

For information, the 19th PUIC will be held at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on 12-15 May 2025.

Raising the theme Good Governance and Strong Institutions as Pillars of Resilience, DPR wants to emphasize that the resilience of the Islamic world cannot be separated from the foundation of clean, transparent, and strong governance.
