inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps stated that public transportation operators and drivers have expressed their commitment to maintaining traffic safety during the 2026 Eid homecoming period.
The Head of the Traffic Corps, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, stated that the operators and drivers' readiness is to ensure traffic security, safety, order, and smoothness during the 2026 Eid homecoming and return journeys.
The operators will also ensure that each vehicle is proper, has passed the KIR (transportation inspection), has optimal braking systems, and has all necessary administrative requirements.
Meanwhile, the drivers also expressed their readiness to maintain their physical and mental condition, adhere to rest periods, avoid driving while tired, and adhere to traffic regulations.
The Head of the Traffic Corps emphasized that collaboration between regulators, authorities, operators, and drivers is key to reducing traffic accidents.
"Eid is a time of joy. Safety must be a shared priority. We want people to travel home safely, and arrive safely at their destinations," said Agus.
Furthermore, this commitment to readiness is a follow-up to his order as Head of the Traffic Corps to the Directorate of Security and Safety from the central to regional levels to intensify education for public transportation owners and drivers.
With this concrete commitment, he is optimistic that traffic security during Eid 2026 will be better, more humane, and prevention-oriented. This aligns with the National Police's Precision spirit of protecting and serving the community.
