The Principal Secretary of National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT) Bangbang Surono states that the implementation of National Action Plan for Combating Violent Extremism that Leads to Terrorism (RAN PE) shows positive results. He explains that RAN PE contributes in improving social macro with the increase in religious harmony (KUB) index number. “The previous index number of KUB was 67.46% in 2021 and rose at 2022 to 72.39%,” said Surono after reading the Mid-Time Evaluation Report of RAN PE 2 Years Implementation by Independent Evaluator Team. He says that the achievement of RAN PE could also be seen quantitatively with 122 programs were completed from 135 planned programs. With the achievement of RAN PE, the principal secretary hopes that collaboration and cooperation with ministries and institution would still continue to realize a peace and harmonious Indonesia. “We hope that this collaboration would be continued so that everything that we hoped together, which providing a safe country free of extremist, to the people,” he said.
