The Religion Minister Yaqut Cholil Qoumas suggest to pay in instalments for pilgrimage cost to ease the burden of participants who are about to pilgrim on 2024. “We suggest a form of pay in instalments to ease the burden of the pilgrim,” said Yaqut, Tuesday (9/19/2023). During the last pilgrimage, the repayment was made after the determining of the Hajj Travel Costs (Bipih). The repayment scheme is made in one payment. However, now Yaqut suggest the repayment scheme to be changed. He suggests that the pilgrim applicant to be able to settle the payment until the given deadline. “Before, the applicant has to settle the payment in one go, now we suggest to permit them to pay in instalments to ease their burden,” said Yaqut. Yaqut says that this suggestion and recommendation will be discussed by Commission VIII of Indonesian House of Representatives in mid-October. (ad/ndt/pr/nm)
