During the inauguration of Kawan PMI in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Police Chief, Inspector General Johanis Asadoma strongly calls all police members who involved in human trafficking that he will act against them. “My commitment, the Indonesian National Police (INP) leaders commitment, is that we will act against our own members who committed the criminal act of human trafficking,” said Johanis firmly. He states that the police members who were involved in human trafficking case will not only face code of ethics hearing but also in criminal court. “So please, if you dare to goofing around and we found out your criminal act, you will face a series of laws,” he said further. The two-star General implores all NTT citizens to report to the police if they found any of their members involved in human trafficking. “From the ranks of Police Sector, Police Sub-regional, to Police Regional, we are ready to process the unlawful police officers and we will act upon them in accordance to the law,” he said in conclusion.
