inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. The Policewomen team of the Central Java Regional Police gave Trauma Healing to victims of the Semeru disaster, especially women and children at the Pananggal Village Field, Lumajang Regency, Tuesday (12/14/21) As is known, the Central Java Regional Police sent 85 personnel, including 36 policewomen, to assist post-disaster recovery, including identification of the dead and trauma recovery for refugees due to the eruption of Mount Semeru. The team, which was dispatched to Lumajang, East Java, was chaired by the Head of the Health Department of the Central Java Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Sumy Hastry Purwanti. Stress recovery for disaster victims must be made quickly so that the psychological condition of the victims does not get worse. Currently, the victims are at the level of acute stress traumatic disorder or acute stress disorder due to trauma. The existence of Policewoman of Central Java Regional Police as trauma recovery counsellors is very appropriate because the character of women who tend to be communicative, easily empathize with victims, especially children, and reflects a humanist figure in responding to the psychological condition of victims. Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Muhammad Iqbal Alqudusy expressed his appreciation to the team and hoped that the recovery of victims from the Semeru eruption could be carried out smoothly. "What is suggested will be a big input for the Central Java Police in handling the psychological victims of the disaster. The point is that we are ready to evaluate activities and provide the best for the community," said the Central Java Regional Police Intermediate Officer (ym/bq/hy)
