Jakarta - The National Police stated that they had permitted PT. New Indonesian League (LIB) to conduct trials of organizing football leagues 1 and 2 in the presence of a live audience.
The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector-General Dedi Prasetyo, revealed that the permit for the trial was granted with a note that the capacity of the physically present spectators was limited. Moreover, considering the current Covid-19 pandemic.
"The National Police gave a trial permit for the implementation of League 1 and League 2 with a limited audience present," said Dedi to reporters, Jakarta, Wednesday (12/15).
Dedi explained that granting permission with a limited audience must prioritize the discipline of health protocols. The Police will also go down to the field to ensure this.
"We see the high enthusiasm of the community related to the implementation of football in the country. However, we still emphasize that the implementation of health protocols must be carried out strictly," said Dedi.
In the trial, said Dedi, physically present spectators will have to wear a mask from the beginning until the round skin match ends. This is because the match itself was held in an area where the growth rate of the coronavirus was low.
Then, the people who attend must have obtained a certificate of the Covid-19 vaccine with the second dose. Later, viewers must also access the PeduliLindung application.
"All spectators, players, sponsors and officials must ensure that the health protocols are implemented properly," said Dedi.
In granting this limited audience trial permit, Dedi stated that he had coordinated and communicated to all related parties. The goal is that the handling and control of Covid-19 can continue to run well.
Even so, Dedi emphasized that his party will continue to carry out routine evaluations related to the implementation of the trial for limited audience attendance in League 1 and League 2.
"Of course, we from the Police will continue to evaluate the implementation. So, the implementation continues well, but the health factor must still be prioritized," concluded Dedi.
