Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. Pastor Jones Wenda, the leader of the Indonesian Evangelical Church (KINGMI), has praised the Papua Regional Police for their professionalism and dedication throughout 2024. 

In a press conference on Sunday (10/1/2025), he highlighted Polda Papua’s role in overseeing the 2024 Regional Elections, ensuring that all stages, from legislative to gubernatorial races, were conducted peacefully. 

"Despite challenges, the police maintained order, ensuring respect for the democratic process," Pastor Wenda said.

The pastor also acknowledged the police’s support during the Christmas and New Year celebrations, providing a reassuring presence for the community. 

Under the leadership of Inspector General Patrige Renwarin, Pastor Wenda noted,  Papua Police has fostered stronger community ties, emphasizing inclusivity and humanistic approaches.

He called for continued collaboration between the community and police to maintain peace and prosperity in Papua.
