Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.   Major General Mohamad Hasan, the Jakarta Jaya Military Commander, warned local residents not to collect ammunition projectiles scattered from the warehouse into surrounding residential areas following an explosion at the Military Regional Ammunition Depot in Ciangsana, Bogor regency, West Java. He said on Saturday (30/3/32024) that the Army soldiers from the Bogor and Bekasi Military District Commands have been deployed to patrol residential areas to secure the scattered projectiles. "We have instructed territorial apparatus, sub-regional police, and local police offices to secure any ammunition projectiles or materials originating from this warehouse. Do not take them, hand them over to the security forces," said Commander Hasan, as reported by antaranews.com. A total of 15 warehouses in the Military Command complex in Ciangsana exploded and caught fire on Saturday around 6.30 pm local time. Among these warehouses, warehouse number 6 stored approximately 160,000 expired munitions and explosives returned from various units under the Jaya Military Command. (mg/inp/pr/nm)
