inp.polri.go.id - Parigi Moutong. The Madago Raya Task Force arrested one wanted member of the East Indonesia Mujahidin terrorism group (MIT) in the hamlet of Sa Lubanga, Parigi Moutong, Central Sulawesi (Sulteng).
Head of the Public Relations Division (Kadiv Humas) of the National Police (Polri), Inspector General Dr. Dedi Prasetyo, M.Hum., M.Sc., M.M., said that in that incident, the Madago Raya Task Force took decisive action against Askar alias Jaid alias Pak Guru.
"Yes, the Madago Raya Task Force has secured one of the wanted members of MIT," said Kadiv Humas Polri to the media crew, Jakarta, on Wednesday (27/04/22).
Kadiv Humas Polri explained that before taking decisive action against the fugitive, the Madago Raya Task Force personnel had asked him to surrender.
However, he did not heed the call from the Madago Raya Task Force but instead took up resistance that endangered the safety of the officers.
"The terrorist throw a striped colored body vest at the members, the vest suspected of being a bomb. The police had to take decisive action against the terrorist, and the result is that the terrorist had been neutralized" said the Two-Star General.
It is known that the Madago Raya Task Force continues to pursue the two remaining members of the East Indonesia Mujahideen group.
All three of them have been listed into the Wanted List (DPO). They are Askar alias Jaid alias Pak Guru, Nae alias Galuh alias Mukhlas, and Suhardin alias Hasan Pranata.
