inp.polri.go.id – Dharmasraya. The 391 people who were previously members of the NII (Islamic State of Indonesia), revoked their bai'at, or allegiance, to return to the Republic of Indonesia.
Head of Special Detachment (Kadensus) 88 of the Indonesian National Police (Polri), Inspector General Marthinus Hukom, S.I.K., M.Sc., said that on the momentum of the holy month of Ramadan, he expressed his gratitude because this breaking the fast together is also a forum for friendship, and reestablish the sense of comfort in the nation to the ex NII who attended in that event.
"I appreciate the West Sumatra governor who has issued policies in response to terrorism, radicalism, and intolerance recently, including the support from the West Sumatra Police and his staff as well as the Dharmasraya Regent," said Kadensus 88, on Wednesday (27/04/22) at the Auditorium Dharmasraya Regent's office.
Kadensus 88 said that his party was present not only as law enforcers but also as part of the nation in embracing the people who returned from the illegal organization, who might be victims due to their ignorance.
"The government is still approaching the people who commit irregularities, and understanding something is wrong. We want to sit together and embrace them with love," explained Kadensus 88.
Being together would certainly feel more meaningful than an arrest, and more important than law enforcement.
"Today I see the awareness in protecting our nation. This is the first time we revoking the allegiance of our brothers and sisters in large numbers. The largest number so far," concluded Densus 88 Anti-Terror.
