Inp.polri.go.id - Pekanbaru. Riau Regional Police female officers (Polwan) deployed directly to assist with forest and land fire (karhutla) handling in Pelalawan and Rokan Hilir Regencies to mark the 78th Polwan Anniversary.

In Pelalawan, 26 female officers visited Kerumutan District to distribute face masks and provide trauma healing for residents affected by smoke. Meanwhile, in Rokan Hilir, officers joined firefighting teams on the ground in Napangga Pujud to put out flames and prevent fires from spreading.

"Their roles differ, but the objective remains the same: to be present according to community needs and field conditions," Riau Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Akmadi said on Wednesday (2/9/2026).
