Inp.polri.go.id - Batam. The Riau Islands Regional Police’s Directorate of Narcotics uncovered a marijuana trafficking case involving the Aceh-Batam network, arrestinga suspect identified as KM alias A alias C and seizing h 500 grams of marijuana.
Riau Islands Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Nona Pricillia Ohei explained on Friday (5/6/2026) that the case began on Wednesday 2026, when officers received information about a suspicious package sent via J&T Express.
“A control delivery operation was conducted, leading to the arrest of the suspect in Batu Aji, Batam, on Thursday,” she said..
The package contained 426.15 grams of marijuana, a J&T Express box from Banda Aceh, and a mobile phone used for communication. The suspect admitted ordering the drugs from Banda Aceh by transferring Rp2.5 million to a supplier identified as GBB.
Police charged the suspect under Articles 111 and 114 of Indonesia’s Narcotics Law No. 35/2009. Investigations are ongoing to trace the wider network. Authorities urged the public to report suspicious activities through the 24-hour Police Hotline 110.
