In an effort to ensure a safe and peaceful 2024 elections, Riau Regional Police invited election participants and supporters to declare their commitment to ensure traffic order and safety during the campaign period to foster a secure and peceful election in an event led directly by Riau Police Chief Inspector General Mohammad Iqbal.
"To achieve this goal, we invited political parties and supporters to declare their commitment for a peaceful election. I urge political parties, supporters, and volunteers to educate campaign supporters for order and peace," he said on Sunday (21/1/24).
Chief Iqbal expressed hope that the declaration would lead to a safe and peaceful election. He emphasized the importance of preventing accidents during campaigns on the roads, as well as steering clear of conflicts and disturbances.
Meanwhile, Nugroho Noto Susanto, a Commissioner of the Riau Provincial Election Commission (KPU), praised the initiative taken by the Riau Police Chief.
He believed that the declaration of traffic order can contribute significantly to creating a safe electoral process.
