inp.polri.go.id - Riau. Ahead of the 2025 Traditional Pacu Jalur Festival, the Riau Regional Police, along with the Kuantan Singingi Regency Leadership Communication Forum, held a press conference on Tuesday afternoon (8/18/2025) regarding security preparations for the event.

The event took place at Tepian Narosa, Imam Bonjol boulevard, Pasar Taluk Village, Kuantan Tengah District, Kuantan Singingi Regency.

In the press conference, the Head of Operations for the Riau Regional Police, Superintendent Ino Harianto, stated that the police, the Indonesian National Military, and the Regional Leadership Communication Forum have been undertaking preparatory measures for the past few weeks.

Joint operations, including the eradication of illegal mining (PETI), which had previously been a public complaint, have been carried out, resulting in improved environmental conditions. He emphasized that security measures will not only be implemented during the Pacu Jalur Festival but will continue throughout.

The Head of Operations also emphasized that Pacu Jalur is a world-renowned cultural event, and all parties should be proud of it while ensuring its smooth and secure implementation.

The Riau Regional Police have prepared traffic flow management, parking areas, road closures, and the placement of security posts at strategic points. He urged the public to work together to maintain order so that the Pacu Jalur Festival runs smoothly and successfully.
