inp.polri.go.id - West Nusa Tenggara. The lively Cultural Parade commemorating the 80th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence, held in Mataram City on Tuesday (8/19/2025), was made even more special by the presence of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police.

"In addition to securing the event, personnel from various functional units participated in the parade, presenting a more accessible image of the Indonesian National Police (INP)," explained the Head of Public Relations of the NTB Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Mohammad Kholid, in a statement received on Wednesday (8/20/2025).

A line of Mobile Brigade Corps personnel in tactical vehicles, policewomen from various work units, and representatives from other functional units, such as the Traffic Directorate, General Crimes Directorate, Special Crimes Directorate, Narcotics Directorate, and Marine Police Directorate, also joined in the festivities.

During the event, a team of personnel from the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (Polda NTB) presented a regional attraction, Gendang Beleq, which immediately captured the attention of thousands of residents who crowded Pejanggik Boulevard.

The attraction presented by the NTB Regional Police personnel received a positive response from the public. The cheers, applause, and appreciation from the attendees were tangible evidence of the growing closeness between INP and the community.

"Personnel from all functional units of the NTB Regional Police participated. Their presence was not only to ensure security, but also to show that the police are part of the community, celebrating independence in a way that is full of togetherness," stated Kholid.

The cultural parade, which took a route from the Islamic Center to Sangkareang Park, was attended by more than 6,000 participants from government officials, the Indonesian National Military, INP, indigenous communities, students, and the general public. Thousands of spectators showed enthusiasm from the afternoon until the evening.
