Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said rice prices in most provinces have now aligned with the government’s maximum retail price (HET), following coordinated market interventions and tighter field supervision by the INP Food Task Force.

“Zones 1 and 2 are now mostly within the HET range, with many provinces even recording prices below it. Only one province in each zone remains above the ceiling,” he said after an inter-ministerial coordination meeting in Jakarta on Monday (20/10/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

He noted that price disparities persist in the eastern regions of Papua, Maluku, and East Nusa Tenggara due to higher logistics costs. A new joint task force will be established to maintain compliance, supported by the Food Task Force, Bulog, and local food agencies.

Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman warned that rice distributors and retailers refusing to follow the ceiling rule will face license revocation.

National data show average prices slightly above the HET at IDR 12,531 per kilogram.
