Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The President Director of Bulog, Bayu Krisnamurthi ensures the food stocks, particularly rice, is safe for Ramadan. As of March 9th, 2024, the rice stock in Bulog is around 1.25 tons and there will be additional stocks of 400,000 tons soon arriving. “I assure that the rice stock for Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr is safe,” said Bayu on Saturday (3/9/2024). Bayu adds that in the upcoming weeks, there will be more additional stocks coming from non-central production ports. “We already have a quota of 220,000 tons per month and around 200,000 tons more for this month. So in total, we have around 400,000 tons more and also we already have a stock of 1.25 million tons. Furthermore, our stocks will also soon increase from our harvest. So I suppose we already have ample stocks,” explained Bayu. Bayu implores people not to worry for the stability of rice price and stocks. He states that the price has steadily returned to normal as the rice supplies in market have returned. (ad/ri/pr/nm)
