Throughout the operation, 86,437 traffic violators are recorded. “There are 73,064 manual ticketing and 15,373 others are enforced through ETLE,” said the Indonesian National Police (INP) Public Information Chief, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko on Monday (3/18/2024). According to Trunoyudo, during the law enforcement, most violations committed by bikers are not wearing helmets with 25,855 recorded. “For violations mostly committed by cars is not wearing seatbelts with 7,285 violations recorded,” says Trunoyudo. Furthermore, during the operation, his party also handled 3,163 traffic accidents. Of the thousands of accidents, 372 of victim lose their lives, 518 suffered heavy injuries, and 4,008 others only suffered minor injuries. “The total loss due to traffic accidents reached IDR 7,596,864,457,” said Trunoyudo.
