The Indonesian National Police (INP) says the situation and condition relatively remains safe ahead the announcement of national vote recapitulation result. “The situation as of now, according to the reports received, thankfully everything is safe, peaceful, and conducive,” said INP Security Maintenance Agency, Commissioner General Fadil Imran in General Election Commission (KPU) Building on Monday (3/18/2024). Reflecting to the 2019 election situation, INP has devised security plan. Security personnel have also been deployed to KPU, Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu), DKPP, and Constitutional Court building. “The 2019 election became our lesson, a reminder that we should be united and to receive the result chosen by the people,” says Fadil. Moreover, Fadil explains that his party has anticipated various security threats during election dispute. During election dispute, people are welcomed to convey their aspiration, however strongly reminded not to commit anarchy and to keep follow the law. (ad/ay/pr/nm)
