inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Security Maintenance Agency (Baharkam) Marine and Air Unit postponed the removal of the sea fence in the waters of Tangerang, Banten, which was supposed to be done this morning. This was due to bad weather.

"Today we will have to postpone the sea fence removal in Karang Serang, Sukadiri, Tangerang, due to the bad weather," explained Director of Marine and Air Unit of INP Baharkam, Brigadier General Hero Henrianto Bachtiar on Wednesday (1/29/2025).

He explained that the bad weather caused the waves to reach 2 meters high.

According to him, the removal of the sea fence that had been carried out by the Police and the Indonesian  National Military (TNI) was 16 kilometers long. That means there are still 14 kilometers of fence that must be removed.

"We will continue to coordinate with other parties as other agencies are also ready to help. Unfortunately for today, the removal has to be postponed due to the weather. We'll see how it is tomorrow," he said.
