inp.polri.go.id - Gorontalo. The Commander of Gorontalo Regional Police Mobile Brigade, Senior Superintendent Danu Waspodo and other high officials harvest the corn at the Paguat Pioneer Battalion B Command Post Field, Pohuwato Regency, Monday (6/22/2026).
The activity is part of the unit’s support for the government program in realizing national food security. During the mass harvest, the two hectares field has yielded approximately 5 tons of corn.
Other than corn, the field also sowed with eggplant, red chilies, cucumbers, long beans, cassava, and various other types of vegetable plants.
Danu says that converting idle land into productive agricultural land is one of their steps to support food security while also providing benefits to the community.
"This is the second major harvest held at the Paguat Pioneer Battalion B Command Post Field. The corn harvest will be sold, while the vegetables will be distributed to the surrounding community as part of our concern and closeness to the community," said Danu.
He added that the activity is expected to motivate all personnel to continue developing innovations and optimally utilizing available land.
Through this food security activity, the Gorontalo Regional Police Mobile Brigade Unit affirms its commitment not only to maintaining public order and security, but also to actively supporting strategic government programs for the welfare of the community.
