Inp.polri.go.id - Manokwari. In a successful operation, the combined military and police forces have shot three members of the armed criminal group (KKB) in Intan Jaya Regency, Central Papua. The trio had carried out an attack on a security force outpost that claimed the lives of a civilian and an on-duty police officer on Friday (19/1/12024). The Operation Chief of the Damai Cartenz 2024 Task Force, Senior Superintendent Dr Faizal Ramadhani, explained that the trio were KKB members of the Yoswa Maisani group led by Guspi Waker. "Yoswa Maisani is the field commander who leads this group," he said in a statement on Monday (22/1/2024). Chief Dr. Faizal revealed that this particular Yoswa Maisani group is notorious for its fatal attacks that had claimed the lives of both security forces officers and civilians. Superintendent Dr Bayu Suseno, the spokesman for Damai Cartenz Task Force, identified the shot three KKB members as Kobagau, Jaringan Belau and Agustia. "In fact, our informants reported that three KKB sustain injuries in the chest and legs," he confirmed. The KKB attack in Sugapa, Intan Jaya, on Friday has claimed the lives of Yusak Sondegau, a civilian, and First Brigadier (posthumous) Alfando Steve Karamoy, a police officer. "The Cartenz Peace Task Force will continue to pursue and investigate the involvement of KKB members in the attack, which resulted in the loss of a police officer and a civilian," the Task Force spokesperson asserted.
