Inp.polri.go.id - Malang. The Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs, Djamari Chaniago has ordered the Army Strategic Reserve Command (Kostrad) to sharpen their combat capabilities as the nation's primary land defense spearhead. 

During a high-level visit to the 2nd Infantry Division in Malang this Tuesday (17/2/2026), he said that the unit must remain in a constant state of peak readiness. He stressed that strategic troops are the state's ultimate response during critical escalations, requiring rigorous daily training rather than reactive preparation.

"Elite forces are forged through daily discipline, not just before operations, and there is zero tolerance for even the slightest negligence," Minister Djamari told the assembled soldiers, as reported by antaranews.com

The Minister further highlighted that the quality of these units relies heavily on competent leadership and a decisive chain of command. He urged officers to lead from the front, ensuring high mobility and overwhelming firepower.
