Inp.polri.go.id - Tangerang. A total of 100 security personnel from the Soekarno-Hatta Airpor City Sub-regional Police have been deployed in preparation for the arrival of football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo in Jakarta.
Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police Chief Senior Superintendent Ronald Sipayung confirmed on Tuesday (17/2/2025) that security has been tightened to ensure a smooth arrival for Ronaldo, who is visiting Indonesia for a humanitarian mission in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara.
“Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police have prepared 100 personnel for security measures in case Cristiano Ronaldo arrives through Soetta Airport,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Although it remains uncertain whether the Portuguese football legend will land at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten, authorities are fully prepared to implement VIP security protocols.
“Security arrangements for Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival will proceed as usual. There are no special reinforcements or additional personnel,” he added.
According to the expected itinerary, Ronaldo is set to arrive in Indonesia aboard a private jet, likely landing at either Halim Perdanakusuma Airport or Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on Tuesday morning. He is then scheduled to depart for Kupang on Wednesday morning to carry out his humanitarian activities.
