inp.polri.go.id - Bekasi. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo emphasized that security stability is a primary requirement for creating a conducive investment climate and maintaining business continuity.

Chief Sigit made this statement while attending the Grand Consolidation of the Federation of Indonesian Metal Workers Unions (FSPMI) at the MM2100 Industrial Estate, Bekasi Regency, West Java, on Friday (9/11/2026).

"One thing we must maintain is maintaining a conducive investment climate. Stable public order and security are the primary requirements," said Sigit.

He stated that Indonesia has great potential as an investment destination due to its rich natural resources and vast domestic market. This potential must be strengthened by a healthy business climate and legal certainty.

Maintaining security in industrial areas not only provides a sense of security for entrepreneurs and investors, but also ensures the continuity of company operations and employment for workers.

This is increasingly important amidst government efforts to encourage downstreaming in various strategic sectors, from minerals, energy, food, to manufacturing. This policy is aimed at increasing added value while opening up broader job opportunities.

Chief Sigit ensured that the police will continue to maintain security so that investment and business activities can proceed smoothly.

"We want to assure entrepreneurs and investors that Indonesia is a safe and conducive place to invest," said Sigit.

As part of this commitment, the Chief of Police asked business owners not to hesitate to report any illegal levies, thuggery, or other crimes that disrupt their company's operations.

Every report must be immediately followed up by the police in accordance with applicable law.

"For entrepreneurs and companies who encounter acts of thuggery, extortion, or other crimes, please report them. I also ask the police to immediately follow up so that investors do not hesitate to invest in Indonesia," the Chief of Police emphasized.

Besides security, the INP Chief also noted that harmonious industrial relations also determine the sustainability of the business world. Any differences between workers and companies must be resolved through communication, dialogue, and deliberation.
