inp.polri.go.id - Bekasi. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo emphasized that there should be no room for extortion, thuggery, or other crimes that disrupt business activities and the investment climate in Indonesia.

The INP Chief urged entrepreneurs to immediately report any security disturbances. The police were instructed to respond and follow up on such reports firmly in accordance with legal provisions.

Chief Sigit made this statement while attending the Grand Consolidation of the Federation of Indonesian Metal Workers Unions (FSPMI) at the MM2100 Industrial Estate, Bekasi Regency, West Java, on Friday (9/11/2026).

The event, themed "Fair Industrial Relations and Investment Conduciveness," was attended by approximately 2,000 workers from approximately 1,200 companies in the MM2100 Industrial Estate and its surroundings.

"For entrepreneurs and companies who encounter acts of thuggery, extortion, or other crimes, please report them. I ask the police to take immediate action so that investors do not hesitate to invest in Indonesia," said the INP Chief.

According to the INP Chief, security stability is a crucial foundation for business continuity. Maintaining public order and security will provide workers with a sense of security, ensure smooth company operations, and strengthen investor confidence.

Furthermore, Indonesia has significant potential as an investment destination, supported by its rich natural resources, a large domestic market, and the development of downstream processing in various strategic sectors.

This potential is reflected in the realization of national investment, which reached IDR 1,010.6 trillion by the first semester of 2026. During the same period, West Java recorded IDR 138 trillion in investment.

Bekasi Regency is one of the main pillars of this achievement. In the first quarter of 2026, realized investment in Bekasi Regency reached IDR 31.7 trillion, or 41.29 percent of West Java's total investment of IDR 76.8 trillion.

Sigit assured that INP will continue to provide protection and legal certainty to ensure industrial activities can proceed safely and sustainably.

"We want to reassure entrepreneurs and investors that Indonesia is a safe and conducive place to invest. We will continue to provide security guarantees so that investment and business activities can run smoothly and sustainably," said Sigit.
