Inp.polri.go.id - Serang.  The Serang District Court has sentenced Mulyana (22) to death for the premeditated murder and mutilation of Siti Amelia in April 2025.

“Imposing the death penalty on the defendant, Mulyana,” presiding judge David Panggabean declared Thursday (14/8/2025).

The panel of judges found  no mitigating factors, according to antaranews.com

The verdict aligns with prosecutors’ demands. The court granted Mulyana seven days to accept or appeal, while the victim’s family expressed gratitude in court.

According to the judgment, Mulyana killed his girlfriend Siti after she informed him she was pregnant. Pretending to arrange a meeting to buy abortion pills, he lured her to an isolated area, strangled her with a headscarf, then dismembered her body. 

The remains, placed in sacks with stone weights, were dumped in a river before being discovered by residents.
