Brigadier Andri Sitompul, a member of Jambi Regional Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Andri Sitompul, was a victim of motorbike gang violence in Kimaja street, Kota Baru regency, Jambi in last week. “It is true that there was an act of violence against a member of police,” says Jambi Police Chief, Grand Commissioner Eko Wahyudi on Monday (10/30/2023). “So far we have secured seven suspects. Suspects secured by joint team while four others were still in pursuit by Jambi Police,” he explains. Seven suspects have been determined by the police, which are Figo Yuki Septian (19), MFB (17), Sahrul Akbar (19), Arvindra Risky (19), Anggi Saputra (18), MDG (17), and RA (17). Police also secured two weapons used by the suspect. The police chief reveals there are two victims, which are Brigadier Andri Sitompul and Candra. Candra currently is still being treated at Bhayangkara Jambi Hospital after suffering lacerations on the head and back. The incident occurred after Brigadier Andri was about to break up a commotion between teenagers around the location. Unfortunately, the teenagers turned their attention to the police and instead assaulted Brigadier Andri and Candra. (ad/pt/pr/nm)
