Highlighting Indonesia as an important partner, Minister Bruins Slot said, "Indonesia is the most important partner for the Netherlands. We want to continuously strengthen and expand our partnership".
The signing of the MoU by the Dutch minister and the head of Indonesia's National Cyber and Cryptography Agency (BSSN), Hinsa Siberian, aimed to strengthen cooperation in the field of cybersecurity, antaranews.com reported.
The Netherlands believed that the economies, democracies and societies of both nations depend on the security and reliability of digital products and connections.
Anticipating increased interdependence in the future, both countries recognized that investing in cybersecurity is an investment in the future of their bilateral relationship.
This cooperation will lead to concrete actions, such as the holding of annual bilateral cyber consultations. In addition, Indonesia and the Netherlands have agreed to build capacity and share best practices in the cyber domain.
The two countries have also pledged to invest a total of €300 million (approx. Rp 5.05 trillion) in green sectors, including climate and energy, agriculture and food, health, water and infrastructure.
The long-term investments aim to create jobs, promote sustainable economic growth, and create a cleaner and safer environment, which in turn will reduce healthcare costs.
