Inp.polri.go.id – Lampung. Lampung Police uncovered the drug smuggling allegedly connected to those of Fredy Pratama. In total, police arrested 26 suspects after unraveling the syndicate.
“Now, the 26 have been brought to Indonesian National Police (INP) Grand HQ,” said the Director of Drugs Investigation unit of Lampung Police, Grand Commissioner Erlin Tangjaya, Monday (9/18/2023).
Erlin says that the initial discoveries began with the information of a drug smuggling to Bakauheni. With the information in the bag, police then deployed their team to the location.
Later, it was found out that the drug courier was in transit and staying in a hotel at Bandar Lampung. “From the suspect, we found methamphetamine weighing 21 kg in a suitcase. The courier named Angga from Riau,” said Erlin.
Angga, reveals Erlin, was ordered by Fredy Pratama to put the drugs in the hotel, which then would be taken by other man named Fajar. Police then awaits Fajar and later arrested the suspect. From the two, police then managed to arrest dozens of other couriers.
After uncovering the case, Erlin reports their achievement to the Criminal Investigation Unit of INP.
From the arrest, police confiscated a total of 300 kg methamphetamine and ecstasy pills. Other than drugs, there are also a cash of IDR 5 billion, 13 vehicles, 19 BCA tokens, 4 house units and one minimarket building.
“Furthermore, we will continue to tighten our security in Bakauhenni due to how many drug syndicates operates at the location. Meanwhile, we will also continue to investigate this case further,” conclude Erlin.
