Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Indonesian National Police (INP)  Bhayangkara Hospital suspected six victims of the Glodok Plaza fire in West Jakarta were airline crew members, including pilots, flight attendants, and technicians based on information from families of the victims.

"Some families mentioned the victims worked in aviation," said Senior Superintendent Ahmad Fauzi, the INP Head of Disaster Victim Identification, on Monday (20/1/2025).

Bhayangkara Hospital has requested medical records from the Aviation Health Center to confirm their identities.

“We’ve sent an official request and have been in contact informally,” Fauzi added, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Identification is complicated due to severe fourth-degree burn injuries. DNA samples have been collected from 14 families of suspected victims to aid the process.
