inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Social Affairs, Saifullah Yusuf, revealed the six figures that will soon be inaugurated as the National Hero.

This title will be awarded directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, at the State Palace.

These six people are the result of a selection from 16 names proposed by the Ministry of Social Affairs.

The recommendation for the names was submitted by the previous Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, in August 2024.

"Every August we propose 16 names to the Title Council. Then they are selected," he said, as reported by the RRI website, Friday (8/11/24).

In his statement, he said that only six people would be selected from the 16 names. However, he could not yet reveal who would receive the honorable title of Hero.

He explained that the determination of the names was carried out in the context of commemorating Heroes' Day.

The awarding of this title will be carried out after the President returns from an overseas visit. It is known that the President is currently undergoing bilateral meetings and courtesy visits to four countries.
