Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) confirmed that six police officers involved in a fatal assault againts two debt collectors in Kalibata, South Jakarta, committed serious misconduct and will face an ethics hearing, in addition to criminal proceedings.
“Each involved officer will be held accountable for their actions, both criminally and ethically,” said Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, the INP Public Relations Division Head of Public Information Bureau, on Saturday (13/12/2025),
The decision was announced following a case review by the INP Professional and Security Division, as reported by antaranews.com.
The six officers are members of the INP Headquarters Service Unit. They have been named suspects in an assault that resulted in two deaths.
The officer violated Police Regulation No. 7 of 2022, which governs the Professional Code of Ethics. The ethics hearing is scheduled for 17 December 2025. The INP said that the investigation is being conducted professionally and transparently, while coordination continues with victims’ families and local stakeholders to maintain public order.
