Inp.polri.go.id - Tangerang. Security for the visit of Pope Francis, the leader of the Catholic Church, to Indonesia has been conducted smoothly on Tuesay (3/8/2024).

"The arrival of His Holiness Pope Francis at Soekarno hatta Airport was secure and orderly," said Senior Superintendent Roberto Pasaribu,  the Chief of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport City Sub-regional Police, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Pope Francis arrived at the VVIP Terminal of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten, at 11.25 am. The police, along with military forces, deployed 700 personnel to assure the safety of the Pope and his entourage.

Traffic management, including temporary road closures, was implemented to facilitate the secure passage of the Pope's convoy. The police apologized for any inconvenience and thanked the public for their understanding.
