The open plenary meeting for the recapitulation of the 2024 election vote count at the provincial level in Papua and three new autonomous regions (DOB) have been carried out safely and conducive as it has entered its 7th day. "From our observations in the field, the implementation of plenary meetings in Papua and three DOBs proceeded safely and conducively," said Papua Regional Police Head of Public Relations Unit, Senior Superintendent Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, on Tuesday (12/3/2024). He said that based on the reports received, the Districts or Cities that have conducted Provincial-level Pleno are, for Papua Province, Sarmi Regency, Supiori Regency, Biak Numfor Regency, Mamberamo Raya Regency, Keerom Regency, and Waropen Regency. Meanwhile, for South Papua Province, Merauke Regency, Boven Digoel Regency, Mappi Regency, and Asmat Regency. "For Central Papua Province, Nabire Regency, Intan Jaya Regency, Dogiyai Regency, Deiyai Regency, and Paniai Regency. For Papua Mountains Province, Mamberamo Tengah Regency, and Yalimo Regency," said Chief Benny. He said  that the open plenary activity was secured by personnel from Operation Mantap Brata Cartenz 2023/2024. In addition to providing security at the plenary venues, these personnel also patroled in areas considered prone to criminal activities. (mg/ta/hn/nm)
