inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The results of the Kompas Research and Development Survey, which recorded a level of public trust in the Indonesian National Police (Polri) of 82.4 percent, have garnered attention from various groups. 

Compared to the 2025 survey, which stood at 76.2 percent, this achievement indicates an increase in positive public perception of the police institution.

Social observer Hizkia Darmayana believes that the increase in trust reflects that the various reform measures taken by the police under the leadership of INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo are beginning to be felt by the public.

"The increase in public trust to 82.4 percent is evidence that the public is beginning to feel the results of the various reform efforts undertaken by INP. Internal reforms, improvements in service quality, and strengthening the professionalism of officers have had a positive impact on public perception," said Hizkia in a written statement on Friday (6/26/2026).

According to Hizkia, public trust is a crucial foundation for law enforcement institutions in carrying out their duties of maintaining security and order. Therefore, this improved trust must be accompanied by a commitment to continuously improve the quality of service, strengthen transparency and accountability, and ensure just law enforcement.

He also assessed the results of the Kompas Research and Development Survey as a form of public appreciation for the ongoing transformation process undertaken by INP in recent years. He believes this achievement should serve as encouragement for all police forces to continuously improve the quality of their service to the community.

"Public trust is built through concrete work and must be continuously maintained. By maintaining integrity, improving services, and being responsive to the community's needs, INP will further strengthen its legitimacy and public trust in the future," he said.
