inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The results of the Kompas Research and Development Survey indicate a positive trend in the performance of the Indonesian National Police (INP). Public trust in the police institution has increased to 82.4 percent, higher than the 2025 survey of 76.2 percent.
The survey, conducted from April 9–18, 2026, through face-to-face interviews with 1,200 respondents across Indonesia and published on Friday (6/26/2026), also recorded an increase in the institutional image of the police to 71.5 percent, up from 64.4 percent.
Kompas Research and Development believes this improvement is inextricably linked to the increasingly active role of police officers as the spearhead of public service in the field.
Responding to the survey results, national public policy and socio-political analyst, Nasky Putra Tandjung, expressed his appreciation for the increasing level of public trust in police.
He stated that this achievement demonstrates that the various reform efforts undertaken by the police institution are beginning to receive public recognition.
"As part of civil society, we welcome and express our highest appreciation for the high performance and dedication of the INP Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, along with all ranks of the police throughout Indonesia who work tirelessly day and night to maintain security and public order," Nasky said in a written statement in Jakarta, Friday (6/26/2026).
