South Jakarta Police arrested a college student for a Rp1.2 billion Coldplay concert ticket scam, according to the Chief of the Criminal Investigation Unit at the South Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police, Senior Superintendent Henrikus Yossi, on Tuesday (26/3/2024) The suspect, known as DA (22), had prior dealings with the victim, jointly ordering tickets for other concerts. She was arrested on 20 March 2024 at a hideout in South Jakarta, as reported by antaranews.com. The scam dates back to April 2023, coinciding with the announcement of a Coldplay concert in Jakarta. Transactions continued until November 2023, totaling 30, with 310 tickets ordered by the victim, amounting to Rp1.2 billion. The police received a report on 12 November, 2023. The suspect faces charges under Article 378 of the Criminal Code, with a maximum prison term of 4 years.
