"The forensic laboratory will be equipped with advanced and modern technology for forensic duties such as DNA analysis, fingerprint identification, to digital investigations," explains South Kalimantan Regional Police, Inspector General Winarto on Friday (7/26/2024).

Winarto says the construction of the forensic lab building is part of his party effort in innovating and follow the technological advancement in enforcing the law.

He hopes that move would bring significant contribution in handling criminal cases in South Kalimantan and strengthening cooperation between police and public in maintaining security and order.

Winarto invites all parties to work together to support the smooth building construction.

"I hope this project could finish on time and right on the budget," hopes Winarto.

Previously, whenever the South Kalimantan requires forensic lab testing, they would send the sample to Surabaya Forensic Lab. Considering the distance between the two province, it would take a long time before the South Kalimantan Regional Police acquired the complete result.
