South Sumatera Regional Police Distributed Packages of Nine-Basic-Needs for People Affected by Micro PPKM

South Sumatera Regional Police carried out social services in Ogan Baru Village, Kertapati District, visited number houses of wood carving craftsperson who were forced to close their businesses during micro PPKM (Community Activity Restriction). The activity was led by Deputy Chief of South Sumatera Regional Police, Police Brigadier General Rudi Setiawan, accompanied by High-Rank Officers of South Sumatera Regional Police. “We distribute nine-basic-needs because during this PPKM they can't work, while wood carving is their primary financial source,” he said, Wednesday (07/21). The assistance provided is also form of Indonesia National Police’s concern for people who have complied with government regulations in effort to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic. "This social assistance is also carried out in number of other areas in South Sumatra," he said. Deputy Chief of South Sumatera Regional Police hopes nine-basic-needs assistance provided would ease people’s bureden during micro PPKM. In addition, he also advised people to continue to comply with health protocols. Meanwhile, South Sumatera Regional Police themselves distributed total of three tons sack of rice to number of people affected by micro PPKM in Palembang, Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI), Banyuasin, and Muratara. The rice are donated by the internal of South Sumatera Regional Police and its ranks, local government, company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR), and private sector. The targets are community who are affected by micro PPKM.
