Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A call for a demonstration against the PPKM (Community Activity Restrictions Enforcement) in the form of a long march from Glodok to State Palace on Saturday (24/7/21) was spread across social media.
Chief of PR and Press Division of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Yusri Yunus, appeals to the public not to be provoked and be wiser if they want to express an opinion regarding the high Covid-19 positive cases in Jakarta and the activity could cause a new cluster.
"We know that Indonesia's positive cases are still high. It was around 45,000 yesterday. By conducting a crowd-inducing opinion expression event, does that could trigger a new Covid cluster? Therefore, dear friends and brothers who planned to go to the street and demonstrate to please think twice wisely", he said in the Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police Headquarter on Friday (23/7/21).
Police Grand Commissioner Yusri Yunus affirms that people want to express an opinion, especially during the Emergency PPKM (Community Activity Restrictions Enforcement), they could visit government's institutions, including Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police then they could express an opinion with limited mass to avoid crowds during the Covid-19 pandemic.
"Expressing an opinion is always welcomed. They can go straight to Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police or other institutions. Please be wise in expressing opinions to avoid crowds. Take an example from the online motor-taxi driver: we communicate with them, they came and demonstrated everything in a proper manner. Do not come because it could induce crowds", Chief of PR and Press Division said.
