inp.polri.go.id - Palembang. The South Sumatra Regional Police held a Coffee Morning event to analyze and evaluate the performance of the Main Officials (PJU). This activity focused on evaluating the main duties and functions of police personnel to maintain and improve the professionalism of the South Sumatra Regional Police personnel.
South Sumatra Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, stated that the Coffee Morning is an important tool for analyzing the performance of each work unit. Through presentations from each main official, he said, targets can be accurately identified, challenges in the field can be identified, and solutions can be formulated to improve future performance.
"Going forward, this coffee morning program will be routinely interspersed with presentations from each of the Main Officials of the South Sumatra Regional Police. The goal is for all of us to understand the programs and challenges of each work unit, so that organizational problems can be resolved together by prioritizing cross-functional communication," explained Sandi on Thursday (3/26/2026).
Sandi further emphasized that the professionalism of police is highly dependent on the competence of its human resources. He reminded that the organization must be staffed with personnel who are experts in their respective fields.
Sandi also emphasized the importance of focused competency management. He instructed each work unit to immediately map the competencies of its personnel.
This mapping will serve as the basis for developing sustainable training and skill development programs.
