Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Hundreds have been named as suspect during Special Detachment 88 Counter-terrorist law enforcement over the last three years. During that period, Special Detachment 88 states there was a decline in terrorist activity. This was stated by Special Detachment 88 spoke person Grand Commissioner Aswin Siregar. “There was a decline in terrorist actions and the number of terrorists over the last three year. We hope that this year we could safeguard our state from terrorism,” says Special Detachment 88 of Indonesian National Police on Thursday (11/2/2023). According to the data, there are 370 individuals who have been determined as terrorist in 2021 with six acts of terrorism. Later on, in 2022, there was a decline on terrorist suspect to 248 with only one terrorism acts. Finally, in 2023, there are only 104 suspects with zero acts of terrorism. It was initially reported that there are 59 suspects linked to terrorist groups secured by Special Detachment 88 in October 2023.
