inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Youth and Sports has opened a complaints service for athletes and sports professionals who have been victims of sexual harassment or physical violence, following the emergence of alleged cases in the national sports environment.
Youth and Sports Minister Erick Thohir emphasized that the government is there to provide protection and ensure that every report is followed up seriously.
"I want to convey to all Indonesian athletes, in any sport and at any level, we stand with you. You are not alone," calls Erick on Thursday (2/26/2026).
He emphasized that his ministry is opening the widest possible space for athletes who have been or are currently victims of sexual harassment or physical violence to report.
"We are opening our doors wide to listen, assist, and protect all Indonesian athletes if any have been or are currently victims of sexual or physical harassment or violence," he said.
According to Erick, protecting athletes is part of the commitment to building Indonesian sports based on integrity, respect, and appreciation for human dignity.
"We are committed to ensuring that Indonesian sports are founded on the values of integrity, respect, and protection for every individual who dedicates themselves to the nation," he emphasized.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports provides a complaints service via email at pengaduan.atlet@kemenpora.go.id. The ministry has also designated a contact person, Wury, who can be reached at 085645882882.
The Ministry ensures that every report received will be handled with due regard for confidentiality, victim protection, and assistance as needed.
