inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. During a Hearing Session with the Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, the Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo addresses the achievement of his institution in securing public safety and order. Thanks to the stability of the situation, Indonesia is now able to compete with developed countries on the global stage.

“Our economy can grow if the security situation can be maintained,” said General Sigit on Monday (11/11/2024).

General Sigit is thankful that he and his party can maintain a stable security situation in Indonesia, thanks to the hard work of his personnel and collaboration with ministries and institutions involved. The stable situation has then given significant impact on increasing investment which exceeds the target of the National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMN).

In 2020, investment exceeded 1.11% above the RPJMN target. For January to September 2024, investment reached 1.78%, also above the RPJMN target.

As a result, said the Chief of Police, Indonesia matched, even surpassed, the developed countries in growth, shown in the ranking made by the International Institute for Management Development in 2024.

"According to the International Institute for Management Development, we have gone up from 34 to 27 in the World Competitiveness Ranking. We are above several developed countries including England, France, and Japan," revealed the Chief of Police.

According to General Sigit, this achievement makes the institution he leads even more enthusiastic about maintaining security, as their role has given significant impact on the growth of the country.
