Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of State Secretariat has issued a new policy aimed at increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of overseas official travel, locally known as Perjalanan Dinas Luar Negeri or PDLN, for government activities.

Outlined in letter B-32/M/S/LN.00/12/2024, signed by Minister of State Secretariat Prasetyo Hadi on 23 December 2024, the policy emphasizes selective travel focused on high-priority outcomes.

“In line with directives from the President during Cabinet Meetings on 23 October 2024 and 6 November 2024, all government leaders and officials must ensure cost efficiency in PDLN activities,” the letter stated.

Key points include limiting travel to activities with significant urgency and direct relevance to national priorities. Strict participant quotas are set, such as three people for technical tasks and five for cultural or investment missions. High-level visits will be coordinated under the President’s or Minister of Foreign Affairs’ direction.

Officials must submit applications at least seven days before travel, accompanied by detailed documentation. Post-activity reports are mandatory within two weeks of return, with non-compliance risking administrative sanctions.
