"The challenges in disaster management in the future will be increasingly complex. The threat of megathrust, climate change, urbanization and increased vulnerability to disasters are factors that we need to anticipate," he said on Friday (10/18/2024).

On this occasion, he instructed the Tagana units to continue to improve their capacity and competence in providing humanitarian services. In addition, they can adapt to the times and use advanced technology to increase their work effectiveness.

He hopes that Tagana can be a reference for other humanitarian organizations in terms of disaster management. He also reminded Tagana to be closer to the community and continue to build good relationships with the people.

Furthermore, he also advised Tagana to continue to strengthen their unity and empathy towards others so that they can carry out their duty optimally in the future.

A total of 1,500 Tagana personnel from Jakarta and West Java attended the preparedness roll call for disaster mitigation risk preparation. The roll call also includes 300 personnel from the Disaster Alert Village and 100 people from the Disaster Alert Banser in Cibubur.
