During the Saturday Service activity, personnel from the Regional Police Patrol of East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police mingling with the people, especially merchants, by help serving the goods such as food, drinks, fruits, accessories, and others in the Car Free Day (CFD) area on Eltari Street, Kupang City, on Saturday (10/19/2024).
The warm activity was enthusiastically welcomed by the local community, one of them is Novi, a woman who sells fruits during CFD.
"We are very grateful for the help offered by the police. Usually we have to work harder in selling our own goods, but today we are greatly helped by the personnel who helped us sell our goods. We are thankful,” says Novi.
Superintendent Joseph Mandagi said that this activity demonstrates police support for the local MSMEs in Kupang City.
"We held this activity to show our support for the community, especially small traders where we not only serve as their security guards, but also as partners who help improve their welfare," said Joseph.
The presence of police personnel at Eltari street not only gives the local community a sense of security, but also gives a sense of a family bond between the police and residents. It is hoped that similar activities can continue, because it would not only help the economic sector, but also strengthen relations between the Police and the community in Kupang City.
