The program for planting one million Mageri Segoro mangrove trees carried out by the Central Java Regional Police received appreciation from the Indonesian Cyber Media Network (JMSI). The award was given at the closing of the National Working Meeting 1 and the inauguration of the Central Java JMSI management for 2021-2025 at the Metro Park View Hotel, Semarang.
The JMSI award was also given to the Chief of Semarang City Police, who was successful with the LIBAS Digital Application program and the Mayor of Semarang in building a Smart City.
Head of Public Relations Division of Central Java Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner M. Iqbal Alqudusy, who represented the Chief of Regional Police in receiving the award, stated that this award is a form of public appreciation for the innovations carried out by the Central Java Regional Police.
The Central Java Regional Police "Mageri Segoro" program is an initiative of the Chief of Central Java Regional Police in supporting the National Economic Recovery (PEN). The direction of this program is to protect coastal areas from abrasion by planting one million mangrove trees. In addition, the goal of the Mageri Segoro program is to empower the economy and food independence of coastal communities.
The program launched by the Chief of Central Java Regional Police, Police Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi, in the village of Bendono, on October 12, was carried out simultaneously in 16 Departemental Police that has coastlines and rivers. The Mageri Segoro Program also received the Indonesian Museum of Records (MURI) award as the largest simultaneous planting of mangrove trees in Indonesia.
Head of Public Relations Division said that the various innovations carried out by the Central Java Regional Police were basically aimed at the community's interests, especially in maintaining Community Security and Order. Therefore, the award after award received acknowledges the community that the innovations made have an impact and are beneficial.
"Of course, this can also be a motivator for us at the Central Java Regional Police to continue working for the betterment of society and the conductiveness of Community Security and Order in Central Java," concluded the Head of Public Relations Division.
